Fring finally here?

Well some things come to those that don’t sleep. This morning over at TechCrunch a little tid bit of fun info was just released. Fring a wicked mobile app that lets you play with, AIM, Twitter, ICQ, Skype and a whole host of other sweet clients. Word on the street its suppose to launch today. As mentioned in the article at TechCrunch, the Fring app will only be available via Jailbreak (Most definitely a dry run before the iTunes app Store lunch later this year) Whew another payoff of crackin that weak ass iPhone last week. I can’t believe I waited so long since cracking it the first time. Apple needs to get their S&^^t together and whip up some obviously required features ie:Copy/Paste or you can count me out of the v2 iPhone.

A New Home

Well, while the video production has halted for the time being. I’ve taken up the task of designing a new home for the tutorials to live. The blog doesn’t really function that well for hosting tutorial videos so I’m putting together a hosting page for them so they’ll be accessible directly from that page but I’ll also be linking to them from the blog.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in posting a new video, but I’ve ordered some new recording equipment and it arrives on Wednesday so look for an update later this week. Ordered the AKG Perception 200, and a sweet little M-Audio interface, which should help with cutting down on background noises, microphone shift and breathing noises, anyway it beats my logitec headset so hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

The Display List

NOTE: Okay so there’s no tutorial here. I’ve removed the existing tutorials until their new home is finished. Check back over the next couple days.

This is my very first tutorial. In this video I give a quick run through of the basics of the display list. How to attach a MovieClip from the library to stage and manipulate it using some familiar AS2 properties that have slightly changed in AS3. I realize the resolution isn’t the best for reading code so I’m in the process of doing some trail runs at different resolutions should have it honed by the time the new gear shows up.

Welcome to flashcamp.net, a new blog by Adam Ehrheart. Here to feature the ramblings & lightbulb moments of a sleep deprived flash addict. I’ve spent so much time reading and commenting on everyone else’s blog I figured its about time I get one going myself.
